A Charming Retreat in the Heart of Lot

Our charming guesthouse, located in an old stone master house built on the ruins of a castle dating back to 1720, is situated in Vers, in the heart of the Causses Regional Park. Here, you will discover a peaceful setting, away from the hustle and bustle, while being close to major tourist sites in the region such as Cahors, Saint-Cirq Lapopie, the Pech Merle caves and Padirac, the sanctuary village of Rocamadour, the Zadkine Museum, and the castles of Cénevières, Castelnau-Bretenoux, and Saint-Laurent-les-Tours, all accessible within 30 kilometers.

The 1.4-hectare park, with its centenary trees and sculptures from our predecessor, invites you to relax. Enjoy our 16-meter heated saltwater pool, our gym, or unwind in a hammock or on a sun lounger. The Causses du Quercy regional natural park is also ideal for unforgettable hikes.

Our three spacious rooms, located on the first floor, combine the charm of the old with modern comfort. Completely renovated in the spirit of the house, they retain exposed beams, stone walls, and a carefully chosen period decoration. Each room has a private vestibule, a bathroom with an Italian shower, and independent toilets, offering an intimate and comfortable space.

For your relaxation moments, a library is available in the vaulted room of the house.

The host table is served in our ancient dining room with exposed beams and stone, equipped with a cantou and period utility room. Weather permitting, meals can be enjoyed on one of our terraces.

During the renovation, we made ecological choices such as the installation of solar panels for hot water, pellet heating, rainwater harvesting, a phytodepuration sanitation system, and waste recycling.

Finally, a private and secure parking area, equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles, is available to you free of charge.

With us, you will find calm and serenity, away from the daily turmoil. A true haven of peace where you can recharge and fully relax.

The dining Room

Step into our historically charming dining room, where weathered beams, stone walls, and period tiles create a warm atmosphere. Take a seat at our host table or start your day with a hearty breakfast in this unique setting. The central cantou, with its wood stove, diffuses a soft light and pleasant warmth, perfect for crisp mornings.

In the adjoining souillarde, original elements blend with modern amenities.

We take pride in prioritizing local products, in partnership with regional producers and artisans. Our generous breakfasts celebrate local flavors: fresh fruit juices, coffee, a selection of teas, homemade sourdough bread, delicious cakes, unique-flavor homemade yogurts, artisanal jams, and, upon request, eggs, cheese, and organic charcuterie from outdoor-raised Gascon black pigs.

The Library Lounge

This tranquil space, vaulted and beautifully illuminated by a natural skylight, invites our guests to relaxation and escape within a picturesque library. Its vaulted ceiling imparts a majestic aura, while an imposing stone fireplace reigns at the center, echoing the grandeur of the past. Here, you will discover a selection of books in both French and English, offering a multicultural literary journey at the heart of this peaceful refuge.

The Park

Les Hauts de Sauliès extend over a magnificent 1.4-hectare park, offering a natural and elegant setting. This green oasis is divided into three areas: a colorful floral garden, a pool area, and a corner dedicated to majestic bamboo. The garden, a true living painting, is punctuated by sculptures by Jaïr Herculano, surrounded by century-old trees that provide shade and coolness in the summer.

Throughout the year, a variety of flowers bloom in rhythm with the seasons. Among the trees, lime, horse chestnut, cedar, and bamboo create a peaceful atmosphere, where birds, bees, and crickets bring life to the days and evenings.

The Pool

Our saltwater pool offers a true haven of wellness, open and heated from mid-May to mid-September, weather permitting. At 16 meters long, with a flat bottom and a depth of 1.5 meters, it invites relaxation and swimming.

Tranquility reigns around the pool, accessible between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM and secured by a submerged roller shutter, providing peace of mind. Two relaxation areas equipped with sun loungers are available for you to unwind and enjoy the pleasant climate. We also provide pool towels for your comfort, allowing you to travel light and fully enjoy this oasis of serenity.

The Fitness Center

Fitness enthusiasts will find their joy in our dedicated fitness space, which we generously share with our guests. Our small gym and fitness area offers a variety of state-of-the-art equipment, available free of charge upon request.

You will find a complete assortment including treadmills, a stationary bike, and even a rowing machine, ready to accompany you in your training routine.
